We are funded and say hello to Kentucky and Florida!

Thank you to everyone that supported Berrymandering! We have successfully funded and unlocked two extra states: Kentucky and Florida!
The next steps now that we have funding are to release the Print and Play, put the finishing touches on the artwork, and start a conversation with our manufacturing partner about how we are going to cram 36 berry tiles, 6 mystery tiles, two player guides, and 9 candles all into one box!
We do have a copy of the print and play which is ready to go as soon as KS gives us the final report for our backers. The PnP will include a copy of our latest rule set and we'd love to get some more eyes on it before we call the rule set finished. This should all be wrapped up within the next two weeks.
I've put together a graphic to describe what we are working on and what we have left to do. We'll be using this graphic in all our updates to describe a snapshot of where the project is.
As you can see, right now we're working on finalizing rules and artwork, along with working with the Printer to create the specification of how many tiles / candles will go on each punch sheet. As we progress we'll keep you updated!
Hello Texas. "I'll be back", California

We have 24 hours left. So tell your friends, to unlock more state maps. Also, don't forget to post your request for the next state maps!
Here are the maps for Texas and California.
We've added something new to the state maps in the upper right corner. You can see map of the strawberry and blueberry voting histories from each state, based on the 2016 results. For Texas, there is a lot of strawberry districts, but these tend to be more lightly populated. So the color maps don't accurately represent the overall vote totals.
The California map is extremely inaccurate, because the blueberry districts are so much more densely populated than the strawberry ones. So really, California is pretty solidly on team blueberry. But the maps are made so that it would be possible for either team to play!
Did you ever want to hear a lecture from the Governator about gerrymandering? If so, you're welcome!
Minnesota - L'Étoile du Nord

Eliot and I want to thank all our backers for helping us get funded. We've just hit the $4k mark, so we're officially funded. To celebrate, here is another state map.
L'Étoile du Nord
It means "The Star of the North" and it is Minnesota's state motto. The Minnesota Berrymandering board is not very star shaped though.
Other state mottos you might like:
New Hampshire: "Live free or die"; they take their freedom really seriously in New England.
Texas: "Friendship"; totally what you'd expect, right?
Maryland: "Fatti maschii, parole femine" (Manly deeds womanly words); I swear this is real!
Oregon: "Alis Volat Propriis"(She Flies With Her Own Wings): Brought to you by some energy drink company you've probably heard of
